Yesterday was a day of reflection and quiet time for me. Reflecting on this year and last, I was reminded of a time last summer where I was thinking about what I didn't have more than thinking about what I did have.
In November of 2019, I found myself shooting an event for a local Houston charity. As I was standing there watching everyone dance after dinner, I suddenly realized that I was watching life happen and not actually participating in life. It was at that moment that I realized that as happy as I looked on a regular basis, I really did not feel happy.
Karen told she would keeping going until she heard the word “yes” and I was excited. See, 50% of life is just showing up. But, so many people ask how do you actually muster the motivation to show that 50% of life, when all you see if the lows, the setbacks and the “no”s?
Are you findable? Yes, that is a question to ask yourself, especially if you are currently in job search. Being “findable” is extremely important. There are hiring managers and decision makers out there right now looking for someone like you, but can they find you.
Are you one of those people who is terrified of being "seen"? I get it, you feel like the world is staring straight at you and all your flaws. But here is the real truth... What we think is happening generally is NOT what is actually happening.
